Life On Purpose: Finding Alignment

Hey you :)

Welcome back!


This week, we're talking about a life on purpose.

Do you have one? Or is there one you're trying to live up to? Is it aligned with who you want to be? Are you in control of it? Was it predetermined? Is it something you can change as you learn and grow into who you're meant to be? Or is it rigid, strict, and structured in a way that you can't change but must follow?


I love asking people these questions because they give insight into how they go about living their lives. As adults, we're pretty much allowed to do whatever we want whenever we want (so long as we aren't harming ourselves or anyone else, of course). However, how you feel about your purpose can influence how disciplined you are.


Now a purpose isn't something that just pops up at you. It evolves over time. Through the rejooov wellness process I've cultivated my purpose while cycling though self-exploration and obtaining new outcomes through self-discovery.


I don't believe that we are assigned a purpose at birth. Free will allows us to determine that much for ourselves. Your ambitions should align with what you love and value. Self-discovery and self-exploration are great ways to maximize potential and help determine where to focus those energies. Doing what feels good will always be the best practice because it is the only practice that will keep you consistent and focused.

First, how does one get back into alignment?

| Reset | Restart | Refocus |

Great. But how do we do that? I don't think I've seen a single person talk about how to actually reset, restart, and refocus as a constructive practice, it's just another catchy slogan to slap on a viral video.


So, here is how I've applied this concept to realigning myself:

GRAB YA JOURNAL so you can start logging any thoughts/ideas that may come up:

Reset: Acknowledge where you stand.

- Reflect on when you first began to feel stagnant

- Examine your opportunities for growth in your current situation

- Shift any limiting beliefs you may have about your ability to reach this goal

Restart: Consider what changes you need to make.

- What are you doing currently that no longer serves you

- Is it time to establish a new routine

- Determine the likelihood of your success. Is it realistic for you to make these changes? If not, figure out what changes you can make

Refocus: Define your intentions.

- Revisit what makes you happy

- Be clear and concise in what you want to accomplish

- State your intentions out loud, maybe even write them down
